Kirsten Aoyama, a member of GLF"s Board of Directors, has been UW Global Business Center Director since 2000 where she has raised over $7M and established numerous innovative programs and partnerships. Her prior professional experience includes marketing to clients in Asia, Europe and the Middle East, and the development of international air service at Seattle-Tacoma International Airport. Kirsten speaks Japanese and received a Fulbright Grant to Japan. She also serves on the advisory board for the UW Office of Global Affairs and is an International Business Technical Advisory Committee Member for North Seattle Community College. She has an M.A. in Japanese Studies from the University of Washington, a B.A. in Asian Studies from Tufts University and earned an Executive Development Program certificate from the UW Foster School of Business.
